Terms of service

These terms explain how Family Task Reader is offered, what families can expect from Family Premium, Family Coins, and SUPER Premium books, and the basic rules for using the product.

Last updated: July 7, 2026.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between Vybra App ("we", "us", "Reader"), the company that operates Family Task Reader, and the parent or guardian who creates a Reader account ("you"). By creating an account or using the mobile app or web dashboard you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

On Apple platforms, this document also serves as the End User License Agreement (EULA) required by Apple, in addition to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies by default to apps distributed through the App Store.

1. Eligibility and parent ownership

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and the parent or legal guardian of any child whose profile you add. Children should not create their own public accounts. If a child account was created without parent authorization, contact support@familytaskreader.com so it can be reviewed and removed.

2. Family workspace and kid logins

Parent accounts control family setup, billing, purchases, kid login access, and content decisions. Kid logins are created and managed by the parent. The parent is responsible for supervising children who use Reader, choosing whether kid mode is appropriate, and keeping shared device and login credentials safe.

3. Family Premium, Family Coins, and books

Family Premiumis a recurring subscription that unlocks premium features across both Family Task Reader and Family Task Hero — one subscription covers your family in both apps. Family Coins are a virtual currency used to unlock SUPER Premium books and AI story chapters for your family workspace. Family Coins are consumable and do not expire. Pricing, plan limits, and included features may change over time, but changes that affect an active paid subscription will be communicated before renewal.

Web (Stripe). Family Premium is sold on the web, where payment is processed by Stripe and charged to the payment method you provide. Card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored on our servers. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel from your Family Premium billing page, which opens the Stripe billing portal; cancellation stops future renewals, and your premium access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Family Coins can also be purchased on the web through Stripe.

iOS (Apple). In the Family Task Reader iOS app the only in-app purchases are Family Coins — consumable in-app purchases billed through Apple to your Apple ID and credited to your family coin balance. Because Family Coins are consumable, they are delivered immediately and do not expire. There is no auto-renewing subscription in the iOS app; Family Premium is sold only on the web.

4. Refunds

Refunds for web purchases (Family Premium and Family Coins) are described in our refund policy. Family Coins purchased through the Apple App Store are consumable and delivered immediately, so they are final except for duplicate or undelivered charges; request an Apple refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. For any other billing question, email support@familytaskreader.com.

5. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the mobile app, or by emailing support@familytaskreader.com. Deleting your account permanently removes your parent account, the families you own, the child profiles in those families, kid logins, reading progress, library entries, coin balances, and support history. Because your family workspace is shared with Family Task Hero, deleting your account also removes that same family's data in Family Task Hero. Family Coins purchased through Apple are consumable and are not refunded when you delete your account. There is no Apple subscription to cancel from the Reader app; if you hold Family Premium, it is billed on the web and can be cancelled from your Family Premium billing page.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Reader to abuse payment systems, chargebacks, or refund requests.
  • Attempt to access another family's workspace or another user's data.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app.
  • Use AI features to generate content that targets, harasses, or describes harm to children, or that violates applicable law.
  • Use the service in a way that interferes with reliability, safety, or compliance for other families.

We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated.

7. AI and generated content

Reader uses AI to assist with chapter summaries and story content. AI output can be imperfect; parents remain responsible for deciding what is appropriate for their family. Do not enter sensitive personal information into prompts unless it is necessary for your family's use of Reader.

8. Privacy and child data

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, how long we keep it, and how parents can review or delete child information. By using Reader you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Reader is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, except those that cannot be disclaimed under applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or related to these Terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Reader in the twelve months before the claim or USD 50.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in New York have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the service, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your home country or state.

11. Apple-specific terms (iOS users)

The following terms apply when you obtain Reader from the Apple App Store:

  • These Terms are entered into between you and Vybra App, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Reader or its content.
  • Your license to use Reader on an Apple device is limited to use on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Reader. Apple is not responsible for product warranties; if Reader fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the App Store purchase price (if any), and Apple will have no other warranty obligation.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing claims related to product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance, consumer protection, or third-party intellectual property infringement.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as "terrorist-supporting" and that you are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms over time. Material changes will be communicated by email or inside the parent app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@familytaskreader.com. Family Task Reader is operated by Vybra App, and our mailing address is available on request.
